RelynUS Pottery Workshop
Gahana Pokhari, Kathmandu
What the Workshop Offers
-
Hands-On Pottery Sessions:
-
Participants can try a “1‑Hour Pottery” wheel‑throwing session to shape clay on a potter’s wheel.
-
There are hand‑building sessions for making clay forms without a wheel.
-
They also run more intensive classes: a 1‑week course, a 1‑month advanced ceramic training program.
-
For more creative / sculptural clay work, they offer a ceramic sculpture training track.
-
-
Specialized Firing Workshops:
-
They run sessions on Raku firing, Black Firing, and Pit Firing — these are more advanced techniques that produce very different finishes.
-
Kurunuki Sessions: They also teach “kurunuki,” a technique of hollowing out clay vessels in a Japanese tradition.
-
The studio has both electric and gas kilns, so they can fire participants’ work after shaping.
-
-
Facilities:
-
The studio has 7–8 high-quality pottery wheels, giving participants space to practice comfortably.
-
They also provide materials (clay, glaze) for sessions, so beginners don’t need to bring anything.
-
The studio includes a small café / seating area, making it a relaxing space to hang out.
-
There is free parking for visitors.
-
-
Accessibility & Group Size:
-
According to the activity listing, the workshop can accommodate up to 15 people per session.
-
The space is described in travel activity listings as accessible and suitable for both beginners and more experienced ceramic artists.
