- +2 degree in Hotel Management with the skills of Culinary Art. Knowledge of Bakery is preferred.
- Ability to follow guidelines and recipes.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of ingredients and produce
- At least 3 years of work experience in a professional kitchen involving in management role.
- Eager to learn vegetarian cuisine.
- Must be able to prepare and cook for large groups of people.
- Eligible candidates must have honest and sincere character without any drinking, smoking and other negative habits.
- The capacity to work under extreme pressure
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing meals and food to meet specification of monastery in timely manner.
- Taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other sides duties as directed by the Executive Chef.
- Properly measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions.
- Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirement.
- Using kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation.
- Label and organize all the cooked and uncooked food items in the fridge, pantry, and storeroom.
- Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality.
- Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward.
- Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized.
