REQUIREMENTS
Experience :
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience on development and humanitarian program operations (preferably experience of UN System, International NGOs and Private Sectors).
Education :
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in social science, management or any relevant fields; preference will be for a master’s degree associated with relevant experience.
Other competencies :
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of the program management, project development, report writing, writing case stories etc;
- Good knowledge and experience of working with the community people, government and multilateral and bilateral partners at different level
- Good interpersonal, diplomacy and team working skills;
- Written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali;
- Organizing, managing and coordination skills; Advanced computer skills, especially familiar with MS Word and Excel.
Note :
- Duration: Minimum 2 years, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs.
- Probationary Period: 6 months (can be extended upon need).

Job Description
Job Summary:
Program Officer (PO) is responsible to carry out the following key job responsibilities at the NRNA secretariat office and he/she will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organization. The key responsibilities of the position are:
Key Responsibilities of the Position:
- Responsible to develop program/project proposals in coordination with CEO, concerned secretariat team members and other relevant executives of the organization.
- Initiate for fund raising initiatives (writing brief concept notes, stories etc)
- Take lead on project reports, documentations and support to archiving works.
- Coordinate with multiple external development and humanitarian partners (UN Agencies and other bilateral partners) for potential collaborations on common interests of both NRNA and those partners.
- Responsible to provide support on HR, admin, finance and procurement related works to the organization in need.
- Represent NRNA in different meetings and forums with the government and other relevant agencies on relevant issues.
- Responsible to visit at the program/project site and carry out the supervision, monitoring and evaluation of such initiatives at the field.
- Provide program related support to International Coordination Council (ICC), National Coordination Councils (NCCs) in need.
- Responsible to programmatic support for Global Conference, Annual General Assembly, Regional Meetings, meeting/conferences and events.
- Support to CEO for the documentation of meeting minutes (ICC/IES etc) and other necessary programmatic functions as required.
- Perform other tasks and jobs assigned by the CEO, President, General Secretary and IES.
