Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees portfolio of projects and programs, manages PMO resources.
- Acts as Secretary of the PMO Steering Committee, ensuring adherence to PMO governance framework.
- Manages project inflow and outflow as per governance guidelines.
- Optimizes project portfolio and assigns appropriate project managers.
- Aligns strategic goals with business strategy.
- Prioritizes projects based on goals, resources, and risks through a gating process.
- Manages key changes in projects, obtaining necessary approvals.
- Monitors project performance and progress, reports to the Steering Committee.
- Provide guidance to project/program managers during roadblocks.
- Facilitates communication and coordination with CEO, CSO, and CXOs.
- Manages interdependencies and resolves conflicts.
- Acts as a liaison between the PMO and other department heads/stakeholders.
- Conduct portfolio reviews and reporting.
- Ensures successful project handover upon completion.
- Provides leadership support, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
Qualification and experience
- Master’s Degree / Professional Degree with 8 years of working experience along with 3 years in managerial experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of working experience along with 6 years in managerial experience.
- Project Management Certifications from universities or Professional Certification like PMP, IPMA, and PRINCE 2 will have added value
- Experience in leading complex projects or programs with a minimum of 3 years of project management experience working with cross-functional teams
