Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees portfolio of projects and programs, manages PMO resources.
  • Acts as Secretary of the PMO Steering Committee, ensuring adherence to PMO governance framework.
  • Manages project inflow and outflow as per governance guidelines.
  • Optimizes project portfolio and assigns appropriate project managers.
  • Aligns strategic goals with business strategy.
  • Prioritizes projects based on goals, resources, and risks through a gating process.
  • Manages key changes in projects, obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Monitors project performance and progress, reports to the Steering Committee.
  • Provide guidance to project/program managers during roadblocks.
  • Facilitates communication and coordination with CEO, CSO, and CXOs.
  • Manages interdependencies and resolves conflicts.
  • Acts as a liaison between the PMO and other department heads/stakeholders.
  • Conduct portfolio reviews and reporting.
  • Ensures successful project handover upon completion.
  • Provides leadership support, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation

Qualification and experience

  • Master’s Degree / Professional Degree with 8 years of working experience along with 3 years in managerial experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of working experience along with 6 years in managerial experience. 
  • Project Management Certifications from universities or Professional Certification like PMP, IPMA, and PRINCE 2 will have added value
  • Experience in leading complex projects or programs with a minimum of 3 years of project management experience working with cross-functional teams

  • Recommends opportunities for the company to monetize or improve its bottom line, processes, or strategy
  • Takes personal responsibility for correcting customer problems - corrects problems promptly and undefensively
  • Gets action and commitment of others by forging good relationships with relevant stakeholders involved
  • Focuses ambition for the company and not for self.
  • Takes accountability for team's performance and addresses poor performers

Duty Station
Kathmandu but can be placed anywhere in Nepal as per business needs and future requirements
