Job Description

Genius IB World School is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative MYP Design Teacher to teach Digital and Product Design. The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

Qualifications & Experience:

Academic Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Design, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Teaching Experience: Prior experience teaching technology, design, or related subjects at the secondary level (experience with SEE grades is a plus).

Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of digital tools, design software (e.g., Adobe Suite, CAD, or similar), and product prototyping.

Skills & Attributes:

 

  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn the IB MYP Design framework and project-based learning approaches.
  • Ability to guide students through the design cycle (inquiring, developing, creating, and evaluating).
  • Openness to new teaching methodologies, including STEM-based, inquiry-driven, and interdisciplinary approaches.
  • Hands-on experience in digital fabrication, prototyping, or coding is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to mentor students in real-world design challenges.
  • Willingness to collaborate with other subject teachers to integrate design thinking into various disciplines.
