Job Description

The IB PYP Head is responsible for leading the Primary Years Programme (PYP), ensuring its effective implementation in alignment with IB standards and practices. This role involves curriculum development, teacher training, student learning enhancement, and fostering a strong IB learning culture within the school. The PYP Head will also liaise with the IB organization, parents, and school leadership to ensure the success of the program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Academic Leadership and Curriculum Implementation
• Teacher Development, Collaboration and School Development
• Monitor and support student learning and engagement and Provide intervention strategies for students who need additional support.
• IB Compliance and Accreditation

Education and Experience:

• A Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB PYP school.
• Prior experience in a leadership or coordinator role within an IB framework is highly desirable.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of IB PYP principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to train, inspire, and support teachers in implementing the IB philosophy.
• Experience in curriculum development, assessment design, and inquiry-based learning.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Passionate about student-centered education and international-mindedness.
