Responsibilities
- Prepare, proof-read and publish high-quality, AI-supported, results-based, and audience-focused content across IKI Small Grants and GRAPE II communication channels (e.g., Website, Newsletter, LinkedIn, YouTube)
- Develop engaging project descriptions, news updates, and impact stories that align with program objectives
- Lead editorial planning processes, including setting deadlines and managing workflows
- Collaborate with partner organizations to streamline communication efforts and ensure alignment
- Responsible for quality assurance of all text and media content before uploading to WordPress CMS for IKI Small Grants and GRAPE II
- Organize and implement activities outlined in the Communication and Visibility plan, prepare service contracts needed for the same and support and coordinate for implementation, e.g. with external service providers
- Coordinate the production of videos, including conceptualization, filming, editing, and quality assurance, with a focus on showcasing project achievements for IKI Small Grants and GRAPE II
- Prepare or coordinate of visually appealing and audience-focused fact sheets, presentations, and other communication materials in accordance with branding and PR guidelines of GIZ Nepal, IKI Small Grants and donors
- Create and maintain comprehensive communication guidelines for implementing organizations and external service providers
- Conduct communications-focused webinars on topics such as writing project descriptions, social media strategies, photography best practices, video creation, storytelling, AI for communication, and impact-based communication techniques
- Prepare and support delegations and VIP visits including factsheet and information sheets for the delegation visits
- Support the preparation of IKI Small Grants events and communication products for events of funded organizations
Required qualifications and experience:
- Master’s degree in communication sciences, journalism, or media studies or related fields.
- Five years of professional experience in communication or public relations within international cooperation
- Profound knowledge of communication channels, strategy, monitoring, and evaluation
- Excellent applied communication skills, empathy, proficiency in gender-sensitive language
- Fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage
- Understanding of international development cooperation, preferably also German development cooperation and recent trends in the areas of biodiversity and climate protection as well as climate financing
- Experience in organizing webinars, creating content, moderating sessions, managing invitations, and sourcing speakers and experts
- Structured and independent working style, strong self-organization, teamwork skills, eagerness to learn, and the ability to deliver excellent results under time pressure
