Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, adapt and manage the accounting infrastructure for all legal entities within Blue Company.
- Drive the annual planning and budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Prepare, analyze, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring adequate insurance coverage and asset protection.
- Manage banking relationships, loans, and other financial instruments to optimize cost and liquidity.
- Collaborate with department heads to track and control operating expenses.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and international financial regulations affecting the hospitality and trekking industries.
- Oversee tax planning, filing, and compliance to avoid financial penalties or legal challenges.
- Maintain and safeguard all critical financial documents, legal contracts, regulatory filings, and tax records to ensure accessibility, confidentiality, and compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
- Support merger and acquisition activities, if applicable, by conducting financial due diligence.
- Foster a culture of financial accountability and data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
- Drive an adequate performance-management and -review process for all staff in finance departments across the group.
- Ensure proper management of all finance- and accounting staff and continuous development and training of staff.
- Create a positive and motivating work environment resulting in employee satisfaction and a unique guest experience.
- Active participation in senior management meetings SMT.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. ( master’s degree /CPA, ACCA, or CFA certification preferred)
- 5 to 10 years of progressively responsible financial and strategical leadership experience, including managing diverse teams.
- Thorough knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards in Nepal.
- Expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of risk management and internal controls.
