Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, adapt and manage the accounting infrastructure for all legal entities within Blue Company.
  • Drive the annual planning and budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  •  Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring adequate insurance coverage and asset protection.
  • Manage banking relationships, loans, and other financial instruments to optimize cost and liquidity.
  • Collaborate with department heads to track and control operating expenses.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and international financial regulations affecting the hospitality and trekking industries.
  • Oversee tax planning, filing, and compliance to avoid financial penalties or legal challenges.
  • Maintain and safeguard all critical financial documents, legal contracts, regulatory filings, and tax records to ensure accessibility, confidentiality, and compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Support merger and acquisition activities, if applicable, by conducting financial due diligence.
  • Foster a culture of financial accountability and data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
  • Drive an adequate performance-management and -review process for all staff in finance departments across the group.
  • Ensure proper management of all finance- and accounting staff and continuous development and training of staff.
  • Create a positive and motivating work environment resulting in employee satisfaction and a unique guest experience.
  • Active participation in senior management meetings SMT.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. ( master’s degree /CPA, ACCA, or CFA certification preferred)
  • 5 to 10 years of progressively responsible financial and strategical leadership experience, including managing diverse teams.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards in Nepal.
  • Expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and internal controls.
