Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) with basic social media handling skills
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales software
  • Willingness to travel and work in a dynamic retail environment.
  • Ability to work independently and meet sales targets (Sales incentives provided)
  • Knowledge of grocery retail products and industry trends is an added advantage
  • People Management experience is an added advantage

Key Result Areas:

  • Identify and research potential small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and institutional clients.
  • Conduct cold calls and send personalized outreach emails to prospective clients.
  • Deliver sales presentations on grocery retail products and services and follow up with potential clients to maintain interest and convert them into customers.
  • Build and manage strong, long-term relationships with B2B clients, serving as the primary point of contact and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the sales cycle.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms, close deals, and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new business clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, category management, retail area management, and customer service to align sales strategies with client needs.
  • Track sales activities and performance, generate reports, and analyze metrics to improve outreach efforts and conversion rates.
