Qualification and skills:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance with relevant trainings.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in account or finance officer role, preferably in the business and service sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally is Must) and MS Office, excellent Excel.
  • Strong understanding of Nepal’s tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Nepali.
  • Candidate applying for Head Office must be able to type in Nepali (Preeti) Font
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently, under high pressure and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Description

This vacancy is for (1) HO-Kathmandu, Branch Offices-(1) Itahari & (1) Birtamod. The Account Officer will be responsible for managing the daily financial operations, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with other departments to support the company's financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable in English medium & digitally.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in preparing and managing budgets, ensuring spending aligns with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local regulations.
  • Handle VAT, TDS, and other tax-related filings and ensure timely payments.
  • Work closely with the HR, procurement, training and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any financial discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and implement best practices for accounting systems and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company can meet its financial obligations.
